What is a Local Involvement Network (LINk)?
Communities in Partnership hosts the Leicestershire & Rutland LINks, the independent Local Involvement Networks. CiP employs a number of staff to help develop, support and promote the LINks. The networks are one of the most significant developments in community empowerment, bringing together people, organisations and community groups who want to influence how Health and Social Care services are run.
Leicestershire & Rutland LINks exist to find out what people like and value about local services, identify gaps in services or to say how existing services can be improved.
The LINks work closely with the Local Councils, NHS Trusts and Hospitals to ensure they are aware of people’s views and to create lasting improvements. The LINks also work in partnership with LINks in neighbouring counties.
The LINk joins people together to influence how services are run.
