Older Persons' Month takes place in September each year. There are a whole range of events aimed at older people during the month. These take place across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. They include a number of older person's meetings, leisure, sporting and health promotion activity days. Throughout the month, older people have the chance to talk about their experience with public services and any changes they believe would benefit the community.
The Events and Information Guide is widely available from early August and a link to the electronic copy for 2011 is below. Hardcopies are still available on request.
Contacts in the booklet and much of the information are still useful all year round, so it is worth keeping as a resource for reference.
